Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Articles intended for publication in Akwa Ibom State University Journal of Arts (AKSUJA) may be on any subject in the Arts and Humanities. Each article should be word-processed, double-spaced, and should not exceed twenty (20) pages in length (plus works cited or references). The rst page of the article which has author's name and contact address, must bear the title of the article alone together with a short abstract of about 200-250 words (without author's name and address repeated). Articles which exceed twenty (20) pages and are not word-processed may not be considered for publication. A soft copy, preferably on ash drive, and a hard copy of the article should be submitted after thorough corrections to: Editor-inChief, Akwa Ibom State University Journal of Arts (AKSUJA), Faculty of Arts, Akwa Ibom State University, Obio Akpa Campus, Oruk Anam L.G.A., Nigeria. Articles may also be sent electronically to aksuja@aksu.edu.ng. For now, AKSUJA is published yearly.
