EPILOGUE: ONEBUNNE AS CRITIQUE

Abstract

‘Onebunne’ as the name sounds vibrates with a tone and tune of critique. ‘Onebunne’ has to do with community consciousness, which fixes to an extent life’s destiny for the people in a fundamental way, and people tend to be greatly influenced by this, as such it requires collective effort to improve let alone change the existing community consciousness. It then means that we must remain critical of our community facticity. The truth is that community facticity cannot do without the person, for it is in the person that it’s meaning is deposited and found. The function of community facticity is to ensure that the person is, for in his existence it remains and grows or is strengthened. It is by maintaining an everlasting vigilance, and constant criticism of our community consciousness and facticity that we can know progress in the community and life. Again, critique is not done by the community or group; it is only done by an individual (person) as it is a personal activity. In critique, we are able to make proper distinctions among concepts and values from non-values such as to get meaning or also it will be virtually impossible to separate meaning from meaninglessness.
