THE IMPACT OF INSURANCE POLICIES ON PRINTING PRESS BUSINESSES IN NIGERIA
Abstract
This study examines the impact of insurance policies on printing press businesses in Nigeria, with a particular *focus on A. B. U Press Limited, a prominent printing company affiliated with Ahmadu Bello University, ,aria. The research investigates the role of insurance in mitigating operational risks, enhancing financial stability, and Ripporting business continuity. A case study approach was employed, combining both qualitative and quantitative data. om management staff employees, insurance providers, and regulatory bodies. The findings reveal that insurance policies, particularly property insurance, equipment breakdown coverage, and business interruption insurance, play a signOcant role in protecting the company's assets and reducing operational disruptions. However, challenges such as high premium costs, delayed claims processing; and limited employee alvareness were identified as barriers to fiilly leveraging insurance benefits. The study recommends tailored, affordable insurance products, improved claims processing efficiency, and enhanced employee education to improve the uptake and
effectiveness of insurance policies in the printing press sector. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of the role of insurance in the sustainabiliip, of businesses within the Nigerian printing press industry and provides valuable insights for policymakers, business owners, and iiisumnceproviders.
