Abstract
This paper is a historical study of the presence of the Order of Saint Augutsune in Nigeria from 1938 to 2001. In relating the story of how our presence in Nigeria began as a response in faith to the call of the Church to evangelise Africa, and how we set out for the Province of Adamawa in answer to the call of the Holy See, we see how our being led ‘from above’ can lead to the most beautiful results for God, the Church and the Augustinian Order.
