RELIGIOUS ISSUES IN NATIONAL UNITY AND DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

This paper identified the contributions religion is capable of making towards the Nigerian national unity and development. The various dimensions of religion affecting the stability and progress of the nation were explored.Among these are religion and morality; religion and education; religion as a cohesive factor. Lastly, overemphasis of technological advancement to the fundamental role of religion in national unity and development was lamented.
