The researchers using the method of critical appraisal finds out that even though United States as a developed country has accepted and continued to help Nigeria, as a third-world nation, in forming and strengthening their security, there is an endemic-Nigerian-problem in making an appreciable use of United States magnanimity as a result of inadequate security education, corruption, bad-leadership and so on. The research therefore recommends a functional and proper security education across the sectors of Nigerian educational system and military academy and their trainings.
