IMPACT OF POLICY INCONSISTENCY ON THE MANAGEMENT OF SECONDARY EDUCATION IN NIGERIA

Abstract
The existence of policy in the governance of education in Nigeria is not in doubt. What is of critical concern, however, is the inconsistency and discontinuity that has become characteristic of the educational policy. This paper discusses the concepts of policy, educational policy, secondary education in Nigeria, and the negative impact of policy inconsistency on the growth and development of Secondary Education in the nation, concluding with some recommendations on how the anomaly can be corrected.
