IGWEBUIKE PHILOSOPHY AND THE MENACE OF BOKO HARAM ACTIVITIES IN NORTH EASTERN NIGERIA
Abstract
The Nigerian State's current organizational structure is in danger due to the local terrorist group Boko Haram, which demands an immediate response. Based on available information, the major goal of Boko Haram is to fervently convert the entire nation to Islam and to spread an extremist form of Islam. Therefore, this paper supports and actually adopts an indigenous African philosophy called Igwebuike. This enable the Nigerian government to preserve her corporate existence, and maintain her secular nature. Igwebuike, philosophy is a fundamental African philosophical notion that strengthens the bond between all Africans. Igwebuike is a well-known soft power strategy that can address all of the controversial issues that lead to agitations across the nations. For the purpose of this study, historical and phenomenological techniques of inquiry were used in the data collection and analysis, and the indigenous wholistic t h e o r y w a s u s e d i n t h e i n t e r p r e t a t i o n a n d comprehension of the current issue.
