EXPOSING THE IMPACTS OF SPACE TECHNOLOGY ON HUMANITY

A concerted effort is often mustered by humanity to overcome any traces of crudity and embrace in all ramifications, modernity per excellence. Technology and development in our contemporary dispensation are like siamese twins that have refused to be separated. The impact of space technology in the promotion of commerce, research and military dominances in our world cannot be overemphasized. Little wonder that there is a mad rush towards keying into the practice, and no nation intentionally chooses to seat at the backseat in the quest for relevance. Several nations are on space race in order to match the level attained by the world powers and if possible topple them without making this effort appear like a contest. The crux of this paper therefore is to briefly expose the intricacies involved in space technology and exploration with a view of identifying the possible impacts on humanity. The methodology this paper adopts is expository.
