Abstract

The high level of agreement among metaphysicians of different epochs stating that in order to comprehend the universe we must go beyond the empirical, goes to show the vindication and the enduring value of metaphysics. They all accept that there is need for us to transcend the empirical in order to gain a unified knowledge of reality. This transcendence is possible through the help of metaphysics.
