GBAGYI PHILOSOPHY AND TRADITIONAL OBJECTS

Gbagyiis a cover term for all the Gbagyi-speaking people. It can mean the tribal name of the people or the language of this specific people we are dealing with. Chigudu define Gbagyi as the name and the language of Gbagyi ethnic group who are predominantly found in Central Nigeria, with a population of about 12 million people. Gbagyi people inhabit Niger, Kaduna, Kogi and Nasarawa States, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja. This paper presents the Gbagyi philosophy of traditional objects. That is the Gbagyi understanding of traditional objects and how much attention is attached to it. The study will cover the following areas of interest: Philosophy, Traditional Objects, Personal and Communal Traditional Objects, Man-made and Natural Traditional Objects, Relevance and Value of Traditional Objects, Relationship between Philosophy and Traditional Objects, Philosophy and Traditional Objects' impact on personal development.
