Abstract

This work Against Hume's Metaphysical Nihilism: In Defence of Metaphysics, is a work that tries to bring down metaphysics to philosophers and non-philosophers alike by simplifying the seemingly abstruse field of study. Metaphysics is that one branch of philosophy that puts people off by the range of subjects it covers. However, questions of metaphysics usually come up every day of our lives. What Ndubisi does with this work is to point out the inevitability of metaphysics, while at the same time trying to defend it from its harshest critic, David Hume.
